Bamburgh Breaks

Luxury, self-catering accommodation on the Northumberland Coast

WELCOME TO BAMBURGH BREAKS

A perfect location to see all of
Northumberland

Bamburgh Castle, one of the largest inhabited castles in the country, sitting atop a rocky plateau spanning nine acres above the Northumberland coastline. Its history dates back to the Anglo-Saxons, who considered it a crucial location in England.

Archaeological evidence suggests that people have lived in the area since 10,000 BC, including Bronze Age burials and Iron Age pottery.

While there is limited evidence of Roman occupation, the name Din Guayrdi indicates they may have been present between 43AD and 410AD.
